Should you choose Medical Hypnosis Center for Wellness to assist you in solving your problem, we recommend hypnoanalysis or hypnotherapy as the most effective procedures for assisting you in the solution.
In Hypnoanalysis, clinical hypnosis is an avenue to assist you in determining what has contributed to the cause of your particular problem. Then, with better understanding of this, aid you in setting aside feelings or memories, which contribute to your discomfort. I find that hypnosis is a distinct aid in helping me to be thorough, efficient, effective and timesaving (thus money-saving) in our counseling procedure.
What is hypnosis?
Everyone has experienced hypnosis to some degree. Most people do not recognize the experience as a form of hypnosis. Hypnosis simply means that the body becomes so physically relaxed that the mind is able to concentrate on the subject at hand without distraction. The more relaxed the body becomes, the more relaxed and free the mind becomes. One may be in this state when daydreaming. Most people are in a state of hypnosis that sunbathe, or stretch out besides the lake fishing or lie on a couch for an afternoon rest. Such states of relaxed reverie are hypnotic states. Such a person may appear to be asleep, though not be. For this reason, the term "sleep" is also used with regard to hypnosis, although it is not the kind of sleep state that one is in when in bed at night.
A person may become so absorbed in a movie or by TV that his attention is "captivated" to such an extent that he loses track of time, momentarily forgets where he is, or does not hear the phone or his name called. He is said to be "entranced" or "preoccupied" by what he is doing. Hence, the name "trance" is also used with regard to hypnosis.
By using the word "sleep" or "trance" we do not refer to a hypnotized person as being unconscious. The person is conscious and aware throughout the process. In fact the process is so natural that initially, he may deny being hypnotized.
In order to correct misinformation concerning hypnosis, spread by fiction and movies, I emphasize these facts:
1. One can be hypnotized only by desiring to be, and cooperating with the therapist. In fact all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. You are in control at all times. The therapist is the guide.
2. One's standards of judgment or behavior are as much in control in hypnosis as in the waking state.
3. Unless there are special circumstances, one remembers what happens and what is discussed while hypnotized.
4. Anyone can be hypnotized to some degree. Some do not go as deeply as do others, although, with practice, one can learn to go deeper. However, degree of depth is not so important in therapy as the degree of motivation to reach one's goal(s). The ability to be hypnotized is determined by cooperating to become involved or immersed in what one is doing.
What is Medical Hypnoanalysis?
Any time a person has a problem that involves the emotions or feelings, mood, attitude, "nerves" and the like, it can have far reaching effects which one cannot cope with personally. Such effects may cause mental and/or physical discomfort. The emotions are not in a comfortable adjustment. And most problems have one thing in common: there is an underlying cause or pattern in the individual emotional make-up, which needs to be more fully understood. The real solution or "cure" is to determine the cause of the problem, as it is harbored in the subconscious, and remove it. This is thorough, and will produce a change in the feelings and in behavior, which is natural, comfortable and not forced, yet done quickly. "Medical Hypnoanalysis" is the process. This is not to say that it is a cure-all for everybody. It is not. But it is a very highly successful form of treatment.
